No, you just need to feel comfortable in the water. You float with the board, which provides all the buoyancy and protection you need.

We use thicker wetsuits than those used in rafting, plus thermal socks and gloves if necessary. You will be well protected.

It is a common misconception, but incorrect. At HidroTeam, we have operated for over 20 years without serious accidents thanks to our safety protocol:

🛡️ Armor Effect: You are much better protected than in a raft. Your board acts as a frontal shield, and the thick, reinforced wetsuit cushions any contact.
Total Stability: Unlike rafting, here you cannot fall into the water because you are already part of it. You have total control of your direction using your fins.

FAQ: Canyoning

It involves descending canyons by walking, swimming, jumping, and using ropes (rappel). It's the ultimate exploration.

There are optional jumps and controlled rappels. Everything is adaptable to your level of daring and comfort.

It is a longer journey than Hidrospeed. Consider approximately 4 to 5 hours in total (from leaving the base until we return). It is a perfect half-day expedition to disconnect from the world.

General FAQ & Logistics

You only need to bring your swimsuit (ideally worn from home), a towel to dry off at the end, and dry clothes to change into. We provide all technical equipment (wetsuit, helmet, life vest, water shoes).

No! Hidrospeed and Canyoning are some of the best activities to do in the rain in the south of Chile. You are going to get wet anyway! We only suspend activities in case of severe lightning storms or dangerous river levels.

Our meeting point is at different places at Pucón. From there we transport you in our vehicles to the river and return to the same point at the end of the adventure.

We usually take photos during the activity which we then share digitally. However, we recommend confirming this service at the time of your booking. *For safety reasons, personal handheld cameras/phones are not allowed.*
